Hi, I’m Scott.

I’m a software engineer and lifelong nerd living in Seattle, Washington. I’ve worked at big companies, on tiny teams, and a few places in between. Lately, I’ve been building on atproto, which led me to start Comail. What I enjoy most is working directly with people to understand what they need from their software, then building it with them.

Recent work

Before Comail, I worked on distributed systems at scale for Amazon.com retail, then moved across smart TVs, phones, and web browsers with Prime Video. After Amazon, I spent a few years finding my way as a contractor, including stints with the Quorum1 co-op, the IRS, and an education technology startup. I’m a full-stack generalist, and I’ll work wherever the problem leads to find a solution that works.
